National coach Paul Van Himst (and Red Devils) caricature

Paul Van Himst is a Belgian former football player and trainer. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest Belgian footballers. Van Himst played for years as a striker for RSC Anderlecht and the Belgian national team.

Here he had just become the new national coach of the Belgian football team, the Red Devils. He pours them strong coffee to spice them up :-) (in the children's newspaper KITS)

I depicted him again 5 years later (see above). Then the team's results were not so good anymore and he was replaced. But he still received this tribute from us, this time in the children's magazine KLAP. (That original has unfortunately been 'lost')
